Oh and yes, I've personally tried the savegame thing. I can send you guys the file if you don't want to sign up for Nexus forums.

One other thing you should know - the SGM program automatically puts "Skyrim.exe" as its target file. You need to tell the program to read "TESV.exe".

Good lord.. I used the RAM mod they suggested, and my game is running a good deal smoother now. Or perhaps it's just an illusion of "it must work better now". Either way, I feel that it made a huge difference. I have 8GB of RAM installed, so jumping Skyrim's capability from 2G to 4G should technically make a big whacking difference. And so far it seems to have.

I made my own topics visible because I have friends I want to show stuff to (on occasion, at least) and because I have a page about my Skyrim experience/audio fix (it is more or less a "pros/cons and how to fix cons" page).
